Shanley High School Named 2012-13 IPPF World Champion

The Bickel & Brewer Foundation and New York University are pleased to announce the results of the 2012-13 International Public Policy Forum (IPPF) Finals.
During a banquet and awards ceremony in New York City on Saturday, April 13, 2013, Shanley High School from Fargo, North Dakota, was named the 2012-13 IPPF World Champion. In the final debate, the Shanley team defeated Hamilton High School from Chandler, Arizona, by a narrow 4-3 vote.
Shanley receives a $10,000 grand prize ($5,000 for the school's debate program, $5,000 in individual scholarships) and the "Bickel & Brewer Cup." This year's runner-up, Hamilton High School, receives a $3,500 prize.
The Debate Development Initiative in Singapore and East Mountain High School in New Mexico were named the IPPF semifinalists and were each awarded a $1,000 prize.
